About The Spitti Diaries

Who we are

Two friends, one home, and a love for Himachal

Ashu and Prince didn’t start The Spitti Diaries with a business plan. They started it the way most real things start, with a feeling. Two friends from Solan, Kasauli, who grew up with the mountains literally outside their window and never once got tired of them.

They’d been travelling these roads for years. The high passes, the half-broken trails, the villages where time moves differently. Not as tourists, as people who actually belong here. And somewhere along the way, they started bringing others with them.

“We just wanted people to see Himachal the way we see it.” Not the Instagram version. Not the highway viewpoints. The real thing, raw, quiet, a little rough around the edges, and completely unforgettable.

So that’s what The Spitti Diaries is. No big team, no fancy office. Just Ashu and Prince handling everything, the bookings, the planning, the guiding, the whole thing. When you travel with us, you’re travelling with the people who actually built this. That’s not a selling point. That’s just how it works.

Co-founder · Guide · The one who knows every shortcut

Born and raised in the hills. Knows these routes the way most people know their own street. Ask him where to stop — he’ll always have an answer you didn’t expect.

What makes us different

  • We know these routes the way only locals do
  • Small groups, max 8, always
  • We move at the mountain’s pace, not a checklist’s
  • We care about the place, not just the photos
